GEA Process Engineering (India) Private Limited has the experience and ability to provide you with the right technology for your dairy evaporation application backed up from GEA Process Engineering France S.A.S,. In order to make good powder it is essential that the feed concentrate to the dryer is of the highest quality.

It is essential to evaporate milk correctly to achieve the required feed characteristics. Inappropriate evaporation can cause increased viscosity and product instability that may make drying more difficult or even damage the product irrevocably. Many functional powder properties, such as solubility, heat stability and the WPNI index are set at the evaporation stage. Some, such as the denaturisation of whey proteins, and colour & flavour development, are irreversible.

The correct properties are achieved by managing all the heating and handling processes within the evaporator plant to ensure the desired result. These properties can include: low heat powder for minimum product damage, medium heat powder (e.g. for baking applications), high heat (heat stable) powder with the correct properties to accept UHT treatment after reconstitution, and whole milk powder with the desired WPNI levels for easy reconstitution.

Systems are also designed to achieve the maximum plant efficiency, with the minimum downtime, and the desired balance between steam and electricity use.

SPRAY DRYER :

The spray dryer design and technology provide the powder producer with the ability to control the powder form through the spray drying process. The Niro spray dryers are designed to produce properties such as particle size, bulk density, moisture content, solubility, dispersibility etc. exactly as desired by the user. The products are applicable to all pumpable products, whether heat or non-heat sensitive. 

POWDER PACKING :

• Milk powder from the spray dryer shall be temporarily packed in 25 kg bags and then manually transferred to the hopper of the Sachet Packing machine
• Intermittent motion Sachet Packing Machine for packing the product in flexi pouch packing.
• Required provisions in the machine shall be made for packing different styles i.e. Pillow pack, Block bottom pack and Gusseted packs. But the required change parts are presently excluded from the scope.
