High Containment Docking Systems & Valves

Two Valves - One System

Contamination control is vital in a wide range of manufacturing operations in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries and above all in powder, granulate and other bulk material handling processes. Niro's Buck docking system satisfies extremely high product containment standards. Buck's proprietary split valve has become the leading product worldwide.

The Buck docking system consists of an active and a passive valve, which together seal two containers. The active valve, operated manually or by an automated system, is mounted on the process station, while the passive valve is fitted on the mobile container. When docked, the two valves are interlocked for complete containment.

Buck® TC Valve Total Containment.
Increasing demands for clean operations during handling of highly sensitive or potent powders require innovative and advanced solutions. Based on the split valve technology of the well known and successfully introduced Buck® HC (High Containment) Valve, the Buck® TC (Total Containment) Valve has been developed for more advanced requirements. Contamination of the environment has been minimised, for handled material as well as for mechanical safety aspects, where no fault operation is feasible, and this has been the key success factor in developing the new Buck® TC Valve (patent pending). The dust emission, during all docking procedure phases of the Buck® TC Valve even reaches nanogramm exposure levels, which until now has been achieved with isolator technologies.

Plastic Seed Container
Plastic Seed Container
Plastic Seed Containers

Useful to feed small quantities of materials into blenders or reactors, when there are weight limitations for lifting by employees, when the level of the materials needs to be visible to determine when the container is empty, or when a throw away type container is necessary because validation of CIP is difficult.
